This project gave me the freedom of choosing a subject or real-life exhibition to design a Museum Brochure for. I chose the work of Raku Inoue which currently has no exhibition, however has a platform on Inoue's instagram. We were responsible for gathering images and copy, choosing a style of brochure, and arranging/choosing typography that would support the artists' work.

I chose to design a double-gate-fold brochure with the typefaces Proxima Nova and Garamond. Garamond had beautiful bracketed serifs and ligatures that felt organic like the branches of a tree or the legs of an insect. The double-gate-fold presented the opportunity for a viewer to see a close-up view of Inoue's work to let his artistry speak for itself before reading further.
